This is my favorite kind of fantasy.
Lost in time and space, Rhonda creates a world, a culture, and a mythology that is perfectly in balance, using the familiar to make the unfamiliar more tangible. This story uses the feel of a fable or fairy tale but then explores the unbounded arena of fantasy, drawing on the complete freedom of the genre to create something totally unique. Gods, holes between worlds, fate — she owns them in this story.
We are very proud and happy to have plucked this out of the submissions queue and place it front and center on our publication.
